The Scottish Rally, Dalbeattie - 22/07/23

A wet weekend in Scotland for the Scottish Gravel Rally around Dalbeattie was the weekend plan, making the trip north with the Harper Adams Motorsport team who have been prepping an R2T to compete in for the second half of the 2023 season.

The main focus of the weekend was capturing the chaos for the team but we still found time to get out on stage to see some soaking wet action. First off was SS2 which weaved through a forrest to the north of Dumfries before we dashed back to the service park.
SS3 was next after the service and was an opportunity to try out some panning shots through the forrest, hopefully they came out okay but we’ll let you be the judge…
This was the first time seeing the flying finish and time control at a rally which gave a bit of a twist.
As always, a day out in a forrest in torrential rain was phenomenal, getting up close to the action and seeing some spectacular driving. Thank you to all organisers, competitors and teams.
